The first design will have a footprint similar to that of a Tumbleweed Tiny House but different in many ways. Here are some of the features I plan to put into this first tiny solar house design:

8′ by 16′ by 13.5′ high

Place tiny house on a trailer

One slanted wall for maximum solar gain.

Location on the sun-side wall for photovoltaic panels

Shutters on the sun-side wall for controlling solar gain on hot days.

Shed roof tilting back away from the sun.

2×6 walls floor and roof for increased insulation.

Inexpensive commercial windows.

As soon as the plans are ready for previewing I’ll post them here. Be sure to see my main Tiny House Design blog and the tiny house I’m building right now, the Tiny Free House.
